URSA's Beliefs
Providing hope, help and opportunities for all people; encouraging them to live their best, fullest life
Teamwork. All-encompassing approach. Value-enriched life. Compassion for everyone. Community involvement. These are a few of the fundamental beliefs that have come to shape and enhance the company known as URSA. Everyone deserves the fullest, richest life possible. At URSA, we strive everyday to help you along your journey.
At URSA, we believe that services intended for people with disabilities should be developed using a Wholistic approach. An approach that encompasses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the person. An approach that is on-going and continually evaluated.
A team approach, one in which includes the client, their parents/guardians, staff members and other significant individuals in the client's life, is used when making decisions. This approach ensures there is involvement in all aspects of a person's life; all aspects are accounted for.
The structure of our programs ensures that individuals are active participants in the community, in their individual family and in their own life. We strive to utilize all the resources and services available in the community to promote community participation and inclusion.
While we pride ourselves on our innovative and unique programs, we realize this creative approach must include the specialized training of our staff. Staff development is regarded as an essential part of URSA's dedication to our quality care. We offer our staff a range of in-services, workshops and training session and we believe it's an ongoing, continuous process.
