Kirk was born with epilepsy and his family unfortunately never helped or supported him with his problem. He ended up alone, disregarding the need for help. Then he decided to call URSA. They helped make him aware of his problems and coaxed him out of his shell.

Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) is a Calgary-based non-profit agency which was established in 1985. Our objective is to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in community settings. "Universal" refers to an agency willing to develop and provide needed rehabilitation services not currently in existence. It also identifies URSA's commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise with other national and international rehabilitation centres.
