Mark and Dianne

Dianne's son Mark was in a car accident, resulting in a brain injury. With a tendency to get frustrated, URSA found an outlet for his pent-up energy. They introduced Mark to a workout bicycle - a device that allows him to physically exert his body and emotionally find some relief.

Universal Rehabilitation Service Agency (URSA) is a Calgary-based non-profit agency which was established in 1985. Our objective is to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities in community settings. "Universal" refers to an agency willing to develop and provide needed rehabilitation services not currently in existence. It also identifies URSA's commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise with other national and international rehabilitation centres.
